Biography
Bradford "Brad" J. Barrett is a Republican representative for District 56 in the Indiana House of Representatives, based in Richmond. A physician and politician, he assumed office on November 7, 2018, and has served as vice chair and chair of the House Public Health Committee. Notable achievements include ranking among top Indiana lawmakers for supporting pro-economy, pro-jobs legislation in the 2025 session.
Education and Political Experience
Barrett trained as a physician, working as an intern and resident at Indiana University Health University Hospital from 1988 to 1993. He owned and served as president of General Surgeons from 1993 to 2017 and was chief of surgery at Reid Hospital. Elected in November 2018, he continues to represent District 56 as a Republican.
