Biography
Bobby D. Singleton is a Democratic member of the Alabama State Senate, representing District 24 since a special election in January 2005. Born on March 25, 1962, in Greensboro, Alabama, he has served continuously since then, with his current term ending November 4, 2026. Previously, he represented House District 72 in the Alabama House of Representatives from 2002 to 2005. Notable achievements include serving as former chairman of the Alabama Legislative Black Caucus, Minority Whip of the Democratic caucus, and Democratic Leader . He has held leadership roles such as Chair of the 7th Congressional District in Hale County and Economic Development Chair for the West Alabama Rural Action Commission, Region 2.
