Biography
Senator Robert W. "Bob" Wirch is a Democratic politician representing Wisconsin's 22nd Senate District, which includes parts of Kenosha County. Born on November 16, 1943, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, he is married with two children. A full-time legislator, Wirch has focused on labor, natural resources, mental health, consumer protection, workers' rights, and budget issues. Notable achievements include serving as minority caucus chair in 2003 and prioritizing constituent services through frequent district listening sessions. He is a member of the Danish Brotherhood, Kenosha Sport Fishing and Conservation Association, and Democratic Party of Wisconsin, and formerly served on the Kenosha Boys and Girls Club board.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School; earned a B.A. in history from University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 1970.
- Early Career: Served in the Army Reserve ; worked as a factory worker at American Brass and later as a liaison to JTPA programs.

- Kenosha County Board of Supervisors , serving on Health and Human Services Committee, Welfare Board, and Developmental Disabilities Board.
