Biography
Robert Quattrocchi is a Republican state representative for District 41 in the Rhode Island House of Representatives, covering all of Scituate and a portion of Cranston. Born on December 11, 1963, he is married to Edwina and has two daughters. A lifelong Rhode Island resident and 52-year Scituate resident as of 2020, he is a former partner in Quatro Brothers Concrete Finishing and owner of Quatro Motorcycle Company. He is a lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, member of the Scituate Lions Club, Pine Tree Gun Club, Sons and Daughters of Italy, and former Toastmasters International member. Previously involved in Hope Elementary PTA, he sponsored and coached Scituate Girls Youth Soccer and volunteered at school events.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Graduated from Scituate High School in 1981; graduate of the American Motorcycle Institute in Daytona, Florida.
- Political Experience: First elected to the Rhode Island House in November 2016. Serves as Deputy Minority Whip and member of the House Oversight Committee, House Municipal Government and Housing Committee, and House Special Legislation Committee. Appointed to leadership roles in 2018, 2020, and 2024.
Notable achievements and positions include sponsoring the Multi-Unit Housing Recycling Program Study Commission , inspiring 2019 legislation for dyslexia screenings in public schools, securing tax relief for disabled veterans in 2018, and earning a national “Conservative Excellence” citation from the American Conservative Union Foundation for his voting record. He advocates for term limits, governor’s line-item veto, Auditor General creation, and tax reductions, while scrutinizing issues like infrastructure, tolls, immigration, UHIP failures, and DCYF oversight. Previously served on the House Study Commission on Geo Engineering.
