Biography

Dr. Robert Frank Onder Jr., born on January 6, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri, is a physician, attorney, and Republican politician currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Missouri's 3rd Congressional District. He was elected to Congress in 2024, succeeding Blaine Luetkemeyer, who retired after holding the office since 2013.

Prior to his tenure in Congress, Dr. Onder served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2007 to 2008 and in the Missouri State Senate from 2015 to 2023, representing the 2nd District. During his time in the state legislature, he was known for his conservative stance on issues such as immigration, abortion, and tax policy.

In 2024, Dr. Onder announced his candidacy for Missouri's 3rd Congressional District following Luetkemeyer's retirement. He secured the Republican nomination with the endorsement of former President Donald Trump, who praised him as an "incredible America First Patriot." Dr. Onder won the general election on November 5, 2024, defeating Democratic nominee Bethany Mann.

Dr. Onder resides in St. Charles County, Missouri, with his wife, Allison. They have six adult children. In his personal time, he enjoys hunting and spending time with his family.
