Biography
Bob Ferguson is the 24th Governor of Washington, a Democrat who took office in 2025 after serving as Attorney General from 2013 to 2025. Born February 23, 1965, in Seattle, he is a fourth-generation Washingtonian, son of a public school teacher and Boeing employee, and lives in Seattle with his wife Colleen and twins Jack and Katie. Previously, he represented King County on the County Council from 2003 to 2012, chairing the Law, Justice, Health, and Human Services Committee. Notable achievements include securing over a billion dollars from opioid companies, defeating Trump administration policies more than 50 times in court , combating dark money and polluters, defending same-sex marriage rights, and prioritizing public safety against human trafficking and gun violence.
