Biography
Senator Bob Brinson ** represents **District 3 in the North Carolina State Senate, covering Lenoir, Craven, and Beaufort Counties. A New Bern native and constitutional conservative, he was appointed to the Senate on July 30, 2024, initially for District 2 to fill a vacancy, and elected to District 3 in 2024. Notable achievements include 28 years of military service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Aviation, with combat and operational deployments to Somalia, Bosnia, Kuwait, and northern Japan after the 2011 disaster; election as Alderman for New Bern's Sixth Ward in 2022 and Mayor Pro Tem in 2023; and active involvement in community service, church leadership, and Republican Party roles such as former Craven County Chairman.
