Bjorn Olson is a Republican representing Minnesota House District 22A in south-central Minnesota, including Fairmont and parts of Blue Earth, Faribault, Jackson, Martin, and Watonwan Counties. Born January 13, 1991, in Martin County and raised in Faribault County, he has deep family roots in the district spanning over 155 years. He is married to Hannah, with whom he has three children: Sophie, Soren, and Svea. Olson independently farms 200 acres, previously served two terms as Mayor of Elmore, and is a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve. Notable achievements include securing over $35 million in funding for his district through chief-authored bills, serving as Assistant Minority Leader since 2021, and as Speaker Pro Tempore since February 2025. He was first elected in 2020 to District 23A , reelected in 2022 and 2024 to District 22A, winning all campaigns decisively.
