Biography
Bill Wesley
Bill E. Wesley was born on October 26, 1971, and is an American politician from Kentucky. He is a member of the Pentecostal faith and resides in Ravenna, Kentucky. Wesley has received significant recognition for his service, including being named a Kentucky Colonel with meritorious commendations, receiving the Key to the City of Irvine, and earning a Service Award from the City of Irvine.
Education and Military Service
Wesley attended Bluegrass Vocational Technical High School. Following his secondary education, he served in the United States Marine Corps, building a foundation for a career in public service.
Political Experience
Wesley serves as a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives representing Kentucky's 91st House district, which encompasses Estill and Powell counties as well as part of Madison County. He has held this position since 2021.
In his electoral history, Wesley won the 2020 Republican primary with 2,249 votes and the general election with 12,274 votes against Democratic candidate Paula Clemons-Combs. In 2024, he secured the Republican primary with 1,673 votes and ran unopposed in the general election, winning with 14,878 votes.
Prior to his legislative service, Wesley worked in law enforcement and community chaplaincy roles, serving as a chaplain for the Irvine and Ravenna Police Departments and as a chaplain for the Estill County Sheriff's Department.
