Biography
Bill Roemer is a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 31st District, which includes northern and western portions of Summit County. Born on August 21, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, he has been serving in the House since January 6, 2019, and is currently in his fourth term.
Before his tenure in the state legislature, Roemer was an active community leader in Summit County. He served on the Summit County Council and was Vice President of the Summit Educational Service Center Board of Governors, contributing to educational services for local children. For 16 years, he worked as a substitute teacher in the Revere School District, teaching upper-level math and tutoring students.
Professionally, Roemer is a retired AT&T sales director and a Certified Public Accountant with experience in regulatory accounting. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University, where he graduated summa cum laude.
