Biography
Bill Rabon is a Republican state senator representing District 8 in the North Carolina Senate, which includes Brunswick, Columbus, and New Hanover counties. Born William Peter Rabon on July 6, 1951, in Fair Bluff, North Carolina, he is a longtime resident of Southport and works as a veterinarian. He has served in the Senate since 2011, currently in his eighth term during the 2025-2026 session, and holds key leadership roles as Chairman of the Rules and Operations of the Senate committee, the Select Committee on Nominations, and the Finance Committee.
Notable achievements include advancing tax reform, transportation initiatives, job creation efforts, and support for higher teacher pay, better film incentives, and improved infrastructure in Southeastern North Carolina.
Education and Political Experience
