William "Bill" Pluecker is an Independent member of the Maine House of Representatives, representing District 44 . A farmer, businessman, and educator, he co-owns Begin Again Farm in Warren, Maine, where he has commercially grown vegetables and livestock since 2004, selling primarily wholesale to local groceries and programs like Mainers Feeding Mainers. He resides in Warren with his family, including two children, and is married to Chloe Maxmin. Notable achievements include serving as House Chair of the Agriculture, Conservation, and Forestry Committee, advocating for clean soil and water, addressing PFAS contamination in farmland, and working with food shelters to provide fresh produce. He is currently in his fourth term.

• Education: Bachelor of Arts from Pitzer College .
• Political Experience: Elected in November 2018, assumed office December 5, 2018; served in the 129th through 132nd Legislatures. Re-elected in 2024 against Republican challenger Ray Alden Thombs Jr.
• Other Experience: Public Policy Organizer for Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association ; substitute teacher in local schools; former teaching of farm apprentices; recent service on the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee of the First Universalist Church in Rockland; member of MOFGA's Public Policy Committee.
