Biography

Bill Partington is a Republican attorney serving as the representative for Florida House District 28, which covers northern parts of Volusia County including Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach. He was elected in November 2024 after an uncontested Republican primary and sworn into office on November 19, 2024. Prior to this, he served as Mayor of Ormond Beach from 2016 to 2024 and on the Ormond Beach City Commission from 2004 to 2016, including as deputy mayor. He is married to Lori Partington with three daughters: Catherine, Anne, and Faith; he is Presbyterian.

Education and Political Experience

Education: Earned a BA in Communications from the University of Central Florida and a JD from Loyola University School of Law .

Political Experience: Began as an Ormond Beach City Commissioner for Zone 4 in 2004, re-elected to six terms. Elected Mayor of Ormond Beach in 2016, serving until retiring in 2024 to pursue the state House seat. His legal career includes assistant public defender and assistant state attorney for Florida's Seventh Judicial Circuit since 2007. Notable for conservative values, community leadership, and long-term local service.
