He resides in Bourne with his wife, Tevis, and they are the parents of two children, Kristen and Patrick.
Keating was elected to the United States House of Representatives on November 2, 2010, as one of nine new Democratic Members elected to the 112th Congress. He represents Massachusetts' 9th Congressional District, which includes the state's South Shore, South Coast, Cape Cod, and the Islands of Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. In Congress, he has established a reputation as a civil servant and advocate for Massachusetts, focusing on job creation, educational opportunities, middle-class families, domestic security, seniors, veterans, and ecosystem protection.
