Biography

William M. "Bill" Hixon is a Republican representing District 83 in the South Carolina House of Representatives, covering Aiken and Edgefield Counties. He has served since 2010 and chairs the House Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environmental Affairs Committee. Notable achievements include his long-term volunteer service as a fireman in North Augusta since 1973, presidency of Hixon Insurance Agency and Hixon Realty Company, and appointments such as Ambassador for Economic Development by Governor Jim Hodges in 1999.
