William "Bill" Hager is a Republican representative for District 122 in the South Carolina House of Representatives, covering Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton, and Jasper counties. Born on February 7, 1960, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to parents Roland and Charlene Hager, he is a retired engineer residing in Hampton, South Carolina. He is married to Elizabeth Jolly Hager. Notable achievements include serving as President of the Beaufort Exchange Club , Chair of the Hampton County Economic Development Commission, and defeating incumbent Shedron D. Williams in the 2022 election. Hager holds positions on the Education and Public Works Committee, Regulations and Administrative Procedures Committee, Speaker’s Ad Hoc Committee for Workforce and Utility Modernization, South Carolina Education Oversight Committee , and is a board member of the South Carolina Alliance, Chair of Hampton County Gideons International, and a Deacon at Varnville Baptist Church.
