Biography

William J. "Bill" Driscoll, Jr. is a Democratic State Senator representing the Norfolk, Plymouth, and Bristol District in the Massachusetts Senate, which includes towns such as Braintree, Bridgewater, Easton, Milton, Randolph, Stoughton, and West Bridgewater. A native of Milton, Massachusetts, he previously served eight years as a State Representative for the 7th Norfolk District from 2017 to 2024. He won the Democratic primary in a three-way race in September 2024 and was elected unopposed in the November 2024 general election, sworn in as Senator on January 1, 2025. Notable achievements include advocacy for healthcare affordability, free school lunches, clean energy, and public safety funding; he served as House Chair of the Joint Committee on Emergency Preparedness and Management, overseeing Massachusetts' COVID-19 response.
