Biography
William "Bill" Canfield is a Republican representative for Rutland-10 in the Vermont House of Representatives, serving since 2005. Born in Rutland, Vermont, on September 28, 1952, he resides in Fair Haven and works as a self-employed barber/stylist. He is widowed, with his late wife Mary; they had four children and eight grandchildren. Canfield served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era and has been active in community organizations, including American Legion Post 49 , Knights of Columbus Council 810 , Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 3907 , Castleton Lions Club, and Lodge #75 Free and Accepted Masons of Fair Haven. Notable local roles include 22 years as Justice of the Peace and past Town Moderator.
