Biography
Beverly Gossage is a Republican state senator representing District 9 in the Kansas Senate, located in Johnson County. Born on May 22, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas, she is a free-market conservative and Tea Party grassroots activist who succeeded retiring Senator Julia Lynn after winning election in 2020. She previously served District 8 from 2021 and is running for District 9. Gossage is married to Robert with four children: Bobbie, Adam, Victor, and Clint. Notable positions include Chair of the Public Health and Welfare Committee, Chair of the Child Welfare System Task Force and Robert G. Bethell Joint Committee on Home and Community Based Services and KanCare Oversight, and memberships on Education, Financial Institutions, Financial Institutions and Insurance, Insurance, and Judiciary Committees.
