Beth Van Duyne (TX-24)

Biography

Beth Van Duyne is a Republican representing Texas's 24th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, which includes portions of Dallas and Tarrant counties, such as cities like Irving, Southlake, Colleyville, Grapevine, and parts of Fort Worth. Elected in 2020, she is a single mother of two and the second Republican woman from Texas elected to Congress; her career spans local government, business, and federal service, including as mayor of Irving and Southwest Regional Administrator at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under the Trump Administration. Notable achievements include chairing the House Small Business Subcommittee on Oversight in the 118th Congress, focusing on workforce development and oversight of pandemic relief funds, and currently serving as Chair of the Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax, and Capital Access; she also sits on the Ways and Means Committee, advocating for small businesses through tax and regulatory reforms.
