Benjamin Suber is a Republican state senator representing Mississippi's 8th district, serving since January 7, 2020. Born in Oxford, Mississippi, he is an attorney, small business owner, and town attorney for Pittsboro. He has five children and is Methodist.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Attended Arkansas State University, Mississippi State University, and earned a Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law.
- Political Experience: Elected in 2019 with 46.9% in the Republican primary, 51.7% in the runoff, and 57.2% in the general election, succeeding Russell Jolly. Serves as Vice-Chair of the Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks Committee; member of Agriculture, Appropriations, Business and Financial Institutions, Constitution, Enrolled Bills, Judiciary Division B, and Municipalities committees. Also on the Board of Directors for Calhoun County Farm Bureau and Advisory Board for Calhoun Banking Center.
