About
Ben Adams is a Republican serving as the incumbent state senator for District 12 in Idaho. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran with two combat tours in Afghanistan, he was born in Jupiter, Florida, raised by Christian missionaries in Ukraine for eight years, and later lived in Emmett, Idaho, where his father pastored Community Bible Church. He attended Emmett High School, playing football and basketball, and is a homeschool graduate in some accounts. After military service from 2009-2014, he worked as a project manager for Resto Clean in Nampa and coached freshman football at Nampa High School. He is married to Rebecca, who homeschools their two children, Dylan and Phoebe; they attend Crossroads Community Church in Nampa. Notable achievements include sponsoring successful legislation aligning legal definitions of "gender" and "sex," prohibiting public funds for gender transition procedures, and SB 1100 empowering citizens with civil actions. He serves on Senate committees including Resources and Environment , Finance, and Local Government and Taxation.
