Becky Currie is a Republican representative for District 92 in the Mississippi House of Representatives. Born on May 2, 1957, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, she is a registered nurse currently working with Gentiva Home Health. She is married to Bruce Currie and has two daughters, Emily and Hillary. Currie is an active community member, serving on boards for the Brookhaven Little Theatre, Healing Heart Foundation, Mississippi Shine Project, and Momentum Mississippi, and is involved with the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce and Republican National Committee. Her religion is Episcopal.
Notable achievements include sponsoring the Gestational Age Act in 2018, which prohibits abortions after 15 weeks gestation except in cases of medical emergency or severe fetal abnormality. In 2020, she voted to change the Mississippi state flag. In 2025, she sponsored a bill to improve healthcare access for prison inmates. She holds leadership roles such as Chair of the Tourism Committee and Vice Chair of the Rules Committee.
