Biography
Beau Ballard, born on May 5, 1994, in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a lifelong resident of Northern Lancaster County. Raised in Raymond, Nebraska, he grew up working on his family's small agricultural business. In addition to his family's enterprise, Ballard co-founded the Rabbit Hole Bakery in downtown Lincoln, employing over a dozen Nebraskans. His entrepreneurial efforts were recognized in 2021 when he received the Lincoln Independent Business Association's Young Business Leader of the Year award.
Ballard's political career began as a legislative aide to Speaker Mike Hilgers, serving in that capacity for five years. On January 4, 2023, he was appointed to the Nebraska Legislature to represent District 21, succeeding Hilgers, who was elected Attorney General. In the 2024 election, Ballard secured a full term, continuing his service to the district.
