Biography

Bart Schulz

Bart Schulz is a Republican member of the Arkansas House of Representatives representing District 28, which includes portions of Sharp, Lawrence, Independence, and Stone Counties. He is currently serving his second term, having been first elected in November 2022 and assuming office on January 9, 2023. He was re-elected in 2025.

Schulz is a lifelong resident of Sharp County, where he operates a fifth-generation family farm raising beef cattle and broiler chickens in Sidney, a rural community of approximately 180 people. He is married and has four sons. In addition to farming, he serves as the General Manager of Spring River Paramedic Ambulance Service. He is a member of the Assembly of God church.

Political Experience

Before his election to the state legislature, Schulz served on the Sharp County Quorum Court for over 10 years and has been a volunteer fireman since 1987. These roles reflect his deep commitment to public service in his rural community.

In the Arkansas House of Representatives, Schulz serves on the House Public Health, Welfare, and Labor Committee. During the 94th General Assembly, he held the position of Vice-Chair of the House City, County, and Local Affairs Committee. His legislative priorities reflect rural and conservative values, with particular focus on issues affecting small communities and agricultural interests.

Schulz is anti-abortion in his political positions and advocates for rural conservative representation at the state level.
