Biography
Bart Hester is a Republican state senator representing Senate District 33 in Arkansas, which includes the cities of Bentonville, Rogers, Centerton, and Cave Springs in Benton County. A lifelong Arkansan from Green Forest , he is married to his high school sweetheart Ashley, and they have four children. The family are members of First Baptist Church in Bentonville, where he serves as a deacon. His business interests are in real estate and construction. Notable achievements include election to two consecutive terms as Senate President Pro Tempore , prior roles as Senate Majority Leader and Senate Majority Whip , and sponsorship of key legislation such as creating a recreational tramway for state parks , strengthening kinship placements in foster care , requiring Holocaust education in public schools , and income tax relief for families . He prioritizes reducing government debt, lowering taxes, easing business regulations, and improving foster care and adoption services.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Management from the Sam Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas; lettered for three years on the Razorbacks varsity baseball team.
