Biography
Barbara Lee is a prominent American politician serving as a U.S. Representative. She represents the 13th congressional district of California. A member of the Democratic Party, Lee is known for her progressive stance on a variety of social justice issues, including civil rights, healthcare reform, and anti-war policies. She gained national attention in 2001 as the only member of Congress to vote against the Authorization for Use of Military Force after the September 11 attacks.
