Avery Frix

Avery Carl Frix is a Republican state senator representing District 9 in Oklahoma. Born on March 29, 1994, he is a fourth-generation resident of Muskogee. Frix comes from a long line of builders, with his family's construction business dating back to his great-grandfather in 1940. He and his wife, Haley, own and operate multiple small businesses in Muskogee. The Frixes are active members of the First Baptist Church of Muskogee.

Education

Frix earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accountancy from the University of Oklahoma.

Political Experience

Frix served in the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 2016 to 2022, representing the 13th District. During his tenure in the House, he authored pro-life, pro-law enforcement, and pro-Trump legislation. He was recognized as Oklahoma's FOP Legislator of the Year for championing a pay raise for public service employees and received an A rating from the NRA.

He was elected to the Oklahoma Senate in 2024 and began his first term in November 2024. In the Senate, he serves on the General Government and Transportation Committee, the Aeronautics and Transportation Committee, and the Economic Development, Workforce and Tourism Committee.
