Biography
Aundré Bumgardner represents Connecticut's 41st House District, covering Groton, Mystic, and Stonington. A lifelong Groton resident born July 5, 1994, in New London, he is married to Kayla. Elected at age 20 in 2014, he became the youngest state representative in Connecticut history and is currently serving his third non-consecutive term as Assistant Majority Leader. He focuses on environmental protection, supporting small businesses, tackling climate change, and cutting taxes for working families. Notable positions include Vice Chair of the Environment Committee; member of Energy & Technology, Transportation, Finance, Revenue & Bonding, and Planning & Development Committees; and Secretary of the Black and Puerto Rican Caucus. Previous roles include Outreach Coordinator in the Office of the State Treasurer and service center coordinator with Balfour Beatty Communities.
