Ashley Bryant Bailey is a Democratic State Representative for Ohio House District 26, which includes Cincinnati neighborhoods such as Evanston, Bond Hill, Hyde Park, Oakley, and Roselawn. A Cincinnati native raised in Roselawn by a social worker mother and corporate executive father, she was appointed to the Ohio House on October 1 by the Democratic caucus and is running to retain her seat. She lives in Cincinnati with her husband, Ethan, and their two young daughters. Notable achievements include serving as Ohio Digital Director for President Barack Obama’s 2012 campaign, co-founding Win Black to combat disinformation targeting Black and Latinx voters, and advising organizations like Planned Parenthood, SEIU, MoveOn, and the Ford Foundation. She currently serves as Senior Advisor to Higher Heights for America and has board experience with UpSpring and the Hamilton County Convention Facilities Authority. Her legislative priorities focus on healthcare access, public education, good-paying jobs, and economic equity; she has opposed voter suppression measures and marijuana re-criminalization efforts.
