Senator Aric Putnam

Aric Putnam is a Democratic-Farmer-Labor ** party member serving as State Senator for **District 14 in Minnesota. He has represented the St. Cloud region since January 2021. District 14 encompasses the communities of St. Cloud, Waite Park, Sauk Rapids, St. Augusta, St. Joseph, Haven Township, and Minden Township, covering Benton, Sherburne, and Stearns counties.

Education

Putnam holds advanced degrees from three universities:

• Bachelor of Arts from San Francisco State University
• Master of Arts from the University of Maine
• Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Minnesota

Political Experience

Putnam was first elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2020 and was re-elected in 2022, currently serving his second term. Prior to his Senate election, he ran unsuccessfully for District 14A of the Minnesota House of Representatives in both 2016 and 2018.
