Aric Nesbitt is a Republican politician serving as Senate Minority Leader in the Michigan Senate, representing the 20th District, which includes portions of Berrien, Van Buren, Allegan, and Kent counties. Raised on a six-generation family farm in West Michigan, he is married to Trisha with two children, Catherine and William, and resides in Porter Township or Lawton in Van Buren County. Notable achievements include sponsoring Senate Bill 1 to reform auto insurance, reducing fraud and lawsuit abuse; leading efforts to block tax increases on drivers and small businesses; balancing state budgets and cutting regulations during his House tenure; and serving as Michigan Lottery Commissioner , managing nearly $1 billion annually for public education.
