Biography of Representative April Dobson

April Dobson is a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives, representing District 39, which includes Happy Valley, North Clackamas, and Milwaukie.

A lifelong Oregon resident, Dobson is a mother of three who brings firsthand experience with the challenges facing working families. She is passionate about advocating for safe communities, affordable housing, and quality education for Oregon's children. This is her first term in the Oregon House of Representatives.

Education

Dobson attended Scappoose High School and earned a B.A. from the University of Oregon.

Political Experience

Prior to her election to the state legislature, Dobson served on the North Clackamas School Board. Her professional background includes non-profit program management. She has also been involved in volunteer work, including support for Adrienne Nelson High School's PTA.
