Biography
Anthony Angelozzi is a Democratic Assembly Member representing New Jersey's 8th Legislative District, which includes parts of Atlantic and Burlington counties. He serves in the General Assembly from 2026 to present and is assigned to the committees on Health and Public Safety & Preparedness. A lifelong advocate for public education and working families, Angelozzi focuses on affordability in South Jersey, economic strengthening, public schools, healthcare access, and reproductive freedom. He lives in Hammonton with his wife, Tracy—a fellow teacher and vice president of the Hammonton Education Association—and their two children.
Education and Political Experience
- Education: Earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Rutgers University-Camden and a Master's degree in American History from American Public University.
- Professional Experience: U.S. History teacher at Hammonton High School; President of the Hammonton Education Association , representing 400 employees including certified staff, instructional aides, secretaries, custodial, maintenance, and grounds staff; NJEA Uniserv consultant for Atlantic and Cape May counties, serving as a union organizer and contract negotiator.
- Political Experience: Elected as the newest Assemblyman for District 8 in 2026, bringing expertise in education advocacy and labor representation to the New Jersey Legislature.
