Annie Spell

Annie Wingate-Spell is a Republican state representative serving Louisiana House District 45, representing Lafayette Parish. Elected unopposed in 2025, she is eligible to serve through the 2032 term.

A Lafayette native and survivor of stage four Hodgkin's lymphoma, Spell's experience with illness has shaped her commitment to public service. She has emphasized creating policies rooted in empathy, equity, and lived experience. In her early days in office, she presented a resolution on behalf of the Louisiana Counselors Association.
