Biography
Annette M. Cleveland is a Democratic member of the Washington State Senate representing the 49th Legislative District. Born and raised in the district, she was first elected in November 2012 with nearly 60% of the vote and has served since January 2013. She champions education, small business, affordable health care, seniors, veterans, housing access, quality education, and family-wage jobs.
Education and Political Experience
Cleveland chairs the Senate Health & Long Term Care Committee and serves on the Transportation, Rules, Human Services, Reentry & Rehabilitation, Ways & Means committees, along with several joint committees including the Joint Oregon-Washington Legislative Action Committee , Joint Select Committee on Health Care and Behavioral Health Oversight , Joint Legislative-Executive Overtime Oversight Task Force, Consumer Directed Employer Rate Setting Board, and Universal Health Care Commission.
