Biography
Anne Allen Westbrook is a Democratic member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 163 in Savannah, Georgia. A native of Savannah and longtime resident of the district, she is an attorney, community organizer, and mother of three boys living in midtown Savannah with her husband Todd. Born on January 24 in Savannah, she previously worked as a legislative aide to former state representative Edna Jackson and narrowly lost the 2020 election for the seat by 19 votes before winning subsequent elections.
Her notable achievements include serving as State Legislative Lead for the Georgia chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, where she helped defeat gun bills and worked with the City of Savannah to pass the state's first gun violence prevention resolution. She prioritizes expanding healthcare access, addressing racial inequities in criminal justice, funding public education, protecting voting rights, and passing value-aligned budgets. Westbrook serves on the House Committee on Judiciary and the House Committee on State Planning and Community Affairs.
Education and Political Experience
