Anne E. Lopez
Anne E. Lopez is an American attorney and politician serving as Attorney General of Hawaii. She was appointed by Governor Josh Green in December 2022 and confirmed by the Hawaii Senate on April 25, 2023. Her five-year term is set to conclude in 2026. Lopez is a member of the Democratic Party.
Prior to her appointment as Attorney General, Lopez served as chief operating officer and general counsel for the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation from 2015 to 2022. Before that role, she worked as a special assistant to former Hawaii Attorney General David Louie from 2013 to 2015, and practiced corporate and civil litigation as an attorney at Chun Kerr Dodd Beaman & Wong from 2004 to 2012. Earlier in her career, Lopez worked as an occupational therapist before pursuing law.
Education
Lopez earned her J.D. from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law with honors . She holds a B.S. from San Jose State University in California.

As Attorney General, Lopez has championed several significant initiatives:
