Biography
Anne R. Kaiser is a Democrat representing District 14 in Montgomery County, Maryland, in the House of Delegates since 2003. She serves as Vice Chair of the Appropriations Committee and on the Rules and Executive Nominations Committee, with past roles including Chair of the Ways and Means Committee , Majority Leader , and House Chair of the Montgomery County Delegation . Notable achievements include sponsoring a 2012 bill to ensure full school funding via tax revenue garnishment, supporting Maryland's Dream Act for undocumented immigrants' in-state tuition, and advocating for transportation funding, tax incentives for Amazon's HQ2, and protections against predatory property tax practices. She is also House Chair of the Joint Committee on Cybersecurity, Information Technology & Biotechnology and teaches as a clinical professor at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy.
