Biography
Ann M. Williams is a Democratic member of the Illinois House of Representatives, representing Illinois' 11th District since 2011. She serves her 8th term as of recent records, covering Chicago neighborhoods including West Lakeview, Roscoe Village, North Center, parts of Lincoln Park, Lincoln Square, Ravenswood, Ravenswood Manor, Buena Park, and North Halsted. Notable achievements include chairing the Energy & Environment Committee, previously leading the Illinois Green Caucus, and sponsoring the Clean Energy Jobs Act, which supported the 2021 Climate and Equitable Jobs Act. She also holds positions such as Assistant Majority Leader and chairs the Tourism, Hospitality & Craft Industries Committee. Her priorities encompass environmental leadership, neighborhood schools, human services, gun violence prevention, and fiscal stability. Appointed by Gov. J.B. Pritzker in 2018 to the Powering Illinois’ Future transition committee on infrastructure and clean energy.
