Biography
Ann Flood
Ann Flood was born in 1974 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, representing the 138th Legislative District in Northampton County. She was first elected to this position in 2020 and assumed office on January 5, 2021, defeating Democratic candidate Tara Zrinski with 56.2% of the vote.
Flood's commitment to public service stems from her dedication to helping others. Her background includes firsthand experience working and collaborating with health professionals, patients, and business owners in her community.
Education
Flood graduated from Pen Argyl Area High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Moravian College.
Political Experience and Positions
Since taking office, Representative Flood has served on multiple legislative committees. For the 2025-26 Legislative Session, she serves on the Appropriations, Human Services, Insurance, and Transportation committees. She also holds the position of Deputy Chair on Tourism for the Policy Committee and is a member of the Governor's Advisory Commission on Women.
Her legislative priorities focus on education funding, worker protections, economic development, healthcare affordability, and mental health services expansion. Notably, her work with Lauren's Hope Foundation has supported critical care initiatives, including hypothermia therapy equipment for the Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and assistance to families for treatments and specialized medical equipment.
