Biography

Ann E. Cummings is a Democrat representing the Washington District in the Vermont State Senate . Born on July 20, 1946, in Holliston, Massachusetts, she moved to Montpelier, Vermont, in November 1975, where she resides at 24 Colonial Drive. She is married to Regis E. Cummings, with three daughters, one son, and six grandsons. A retired Realtor and owner of Core Designs, she has served as a state senator since 1997 and previously as mayor of Montpelier. Notable achievements include chairing the Senate Committee on Finance, serving on the Senate Committee on Health and Welfare, and holding ex officio positions on the Joint Fiscal Committee and Joint Transportation Oversight Committee. She is also involved with the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation Board of Directors and other oversight committees.
