Angie O'Steen
Angie O'Steen is a Republican member of the Georgia House of Representatives, representing District 169. She assumed office on January 13, 2025, following her victory in the November 5, 2024 general election.
O'Steen is a native of Jeff Davis County and is married to Danny O'Steen, a lifelong Coffee County resident. They reside on their family's fourth-generation farm with their four children. She is a registered nurse, mother of three, and grandmother of one, with deep roots in rural South Georgia.
Education and Professional Background
O'Steen has been a registered nurse since 1997. Her professional background combines healthcare expertise with agricultural and community leadership experience. Before entering the Georgia House, she established herself as a prominent community leader in South Georgia.
Political Experience
O'Steen won her primary election against William Roberts before defeating Theresa Rewis in the general election. Her campaign priorities focus on several key areas: lowering costs, improving rural healthcare, strengthening public safety, investing in education, and defending constitutional rights.
As a legislator, she has positioned herself as a champion for agriculture, education, veterans and veteran organizations, healthcare, small businesses, and rural South Georgia development. She emphasizes consistent hard work and sincerity in representing all constituents within her district.
