Angie King (House District 84)

Biography

State Representative Angie King serves the 84th House District in Ohio, encompassing all of Mercer County, northern Darke County, and southern Auglaize County. A Republican, she began her first term in January 2023 and was re-elected in November 2024. Raised on a farm as the eldest of five children, King's upbringing instilled in her a strong work ethic and dedication to community service. She is married to Mark King, with whom she has two adult children and four grandchildren. The Kings are active members of New Life Christian Center.

Education and Political Experience

• Political Experience:

  • Mercer County Recorder
  • Celina City Council Member
  • Appointed Chair of the House Local Government Committee in January 2025

• Advocacy:

  • Played a key role in Ohio's Universal Newborn Hearing Screening legislation
  • Advocated for updates to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to include cochlear implants as an option for deaf or hearing-impaired children

• Community Service:

  • Former board member of the Ohio Housing Trust Fund Advisory Committee
  • Former board member of the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
  • Current board member of West Ohio Community Action Partnership

Representative King continues to advocate for policies supporting individual liberty, strong families, small businesses, and the agricultural sector.
