Biography
Angelo J. Puppolo, Jr. is a Democratic representative for the 12th Hampden District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, serving Springfield, Wilbraham, and East Longmeadow. A lifelong Springfield resident, he is an attorney in private practice, admitted to the Massachusetts, Connecticut, Maine, and Federal Bars, and serves as a Justice of the Peace. He is married to Isabel Puppolo and has two children, with interests in education, senior citizens, autism, economic development, veterans, environmental issues, and public safety.
Notable achievements include co-sponsoring legislation mandating health insurance coverage for autism spectrum disorders; leading the Silver Alert bill for locating missing seniors with dementia; advocating for the state's Springfield Data Center at the former Technical High School site; and sponsoring November as Thrombosis Awareness Month. He actively supports organizations like the Springfield Elks Lodge, Knights of Columbus, UNICO, Sons of Italy, and Masons.
