Andrew Lewis Josephson was born on July 15, 1964, in Anchorage, Alaska, where he has resided for his entire life. He is a lifelong Alaskan who has lived in multiple communities throughout the state, including Kalskag, Fairbanks, Kenai, and Juneau. Josephson is married to Donna and has built a career spanning education, law, and public service.

Education and Professional Background

Josephson earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Dickinson in 1997. Before entering the Alaska House of Representatives, he worked in various professional capacities:

  • Legislative aide for the Alaska Legislature
  • Public school teacher in the Kuspuk School District in Kalskag
  • Superior court judicial law clerk in the 4th and 3rd Judicial Districts
