Senator Andrew Jones

Andrew Jones is a Republican member of the Alabama State Senate representing District 10, which includes Etowah, Cherokee, and southern DeKalb counties.

Senator Andrew Jones was elected to the Alabama Senate in 2018 during his first run for public office, defeating Democrat-turned-Independent Craig Ford. He serves as Chair of the Veterans, Military Affairs, and Public Safety Committee and Vice Chair of the Tourism Committee, with additional roles on committees including Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry; Banking and Insurance; Confirmations; Sunset Committee; Finance and Taxation General Fund; and Rules. Notable achievements include receiving the “Defender of Freedom” award in 2024 for efforts to cut Alabama’s grocery tax, previously chairing the Children, Youth, & Human Services Committee, and contributing to the largest tax cut in Alabama history. A businessman and fourth-generation cattle farmer, he founded Deep South Coffee Factory in 2017 and is a shareholder in Paul Jennings Farms, Inc. He resides in Centre, Alabama, with his wife Summer, whom he met during his 2018 campaign; they married in 2019 and are members of Centre First Baptist Church, where he serves as pianist.
