About

Andrew Ireland is a Republican member of the Indiana House of Representatives representing District 90, which covers parts of Franklin and Perry Townships in the southeastern corner of Marion County, including Indianapolis. A lifelong Hoosier, attorney, and the youngest member of the Indiana General Assembly at age 29, he assumed office on November 19, 2024, after winning the 2024 general election. Notable achievements include authoring bills to enhance criminal sentences for illegal aliens, reduce homestead property taxes, remove rogue prosecutors, ban government funding of obscene performances, and heighten penalties for swatting. Previously, as Deputy Attorney General under Todd Rokita until 2022, he defended Indiana's pro-life laws, election integrity, and opposed federal immigration policies up to the U.S. Supreme Court. He now practices law representing trucking companies and serves on the board of the Franklin Township Business Alliance. A Christian conservative, he aims to make Indiana the most pro-opportunity, pro-family state. He lives in Franklin Township with his wife Maddie and daughter Anna Grace, attending Indian Creek Christian Church. He is also the first General Assembly member to graduate from a charter school.
