Biography

Andrew Scott Clyde is a Republican U.S. Representative for Georgia's 9th congressional district, serving since January 2021. A combat veteran, small business owner, and gun store proprietor , he represents a rural and exurban area northeast of Atlanta, including Gainesville, Toccoa, Hartwell, and Dahlonega. Notable positions include service on the House Appropriations and Budget Committees; he voted against certifying the 2020 presidential election results from Arizona and Pennsylvania, opposed awards to Capitol police after January 6, 2021, and described the Capitol events as resembling a "normal tourist visit."
