G. Andrés Romero is a Democratic member of the New Mexico House of Representatives, representing District 10 in Bernalillo County, primarily in Albuquerque's South Valley areas including Los Padillas, Pajarito, and others. Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico, he attended local public schools such as Los Padillas Elementary, Polk Middle School, and Rio Grande High School. He lives in Los Padillas with his wife Athena and their two sons. As an educator and community leader, Romero has focused on education, economic opportunities, and preserving district quality of life since his election in 2014, with service beginning in 2015.

Notable achievements include being appointed chair of the House Education Committee after just two terms, serving on the Legislative Finance Committee and Legislative Education Study Committee, and acting as vice chair of the Public School Capital Outlay Oversight Task Force.
